Description

This session will address a multitude of factors that can contribute to wound chronicity. It will also consider the factors of the BIOMES℠ assessment tool, walking through real patient cases where failure to assess BIOMES℠ factors led to wound deterioration—and contrasting cases where early recognition of BIOMES℠ risk factors allowed for effective early intervention. This session will show how the BIOMES℠ model supports the wound balance framework and helps shift treatment from passive wound management to active healing.
