Breathing Life into Pediatric Care: Key Skills for Effective Airway and Shock Management" is designed to equip EMS professionals with practical, hands-on techniques for managing pediatric airway and shock emergencies in the prehospital setting. Learning Objectives

  1. Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate effective pediatric airway management techniques, including oxygenation, ventilation, and ensuring airway patency using appropriate tools and positioning methods.
  2. Upon completion, participants will be able to identify the different types of pediatric shock and describe appropriate treatments, including push-pull boluses, push-dose epinephrine, and needle decompression.
  3. Upon completion, participants will be able to describe successful IV and intraosseous (IO) insertions, utilizing proven techniques for securement and troubleshooting.
