Dr. John W. Lyng is an experienced emergency medicine physician and EMS leader based in Minnesota, with a background in trauma care, disaster response, and prehospital medicine. He served as the medical director for North Memorial Health Ambulance & Air Care and has been actively involved with Minnesota Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue, as well as the Minnesota-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team. He founded North Star Medical Solutions, Inc., reflecting his commitment to advancing emergency medical care. A fellow of both ACEP and NAEMSP, Dr. Lyng continues to contribute to EMS education, trauma management, and innovation in emergency medicine.
