Lawrence A. Lavery is a Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery, as well as Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Plastic Surgery, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. His research group has published 320 peer-reviewed papers and has received extramural funding from the Veterans Administration, National Institutes of Health, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, American Diabetes Association, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
