Harrison P. Nguyen, MD, MBA, MPH, FAAD, FACMS is a double board-certified Dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon in Houston, Texas, where he serves as Managing Director of Houston Skin, Clinical Investigator/Co-Fellowship Director of Clinical Research at the Center for Clinical Studies (the largest dermatology clinical research center in Texas), and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Houston College of Medicine.
He completed a Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an Associate Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. He previously was Chief Resident in Dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Emory/GT, Dr. Nguyen was an independent consultant to several Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies and early stage healthcare start-ups. He continued on to earn his MD from Baylor College of Medicine, MBA from the Yale School of Management, MPH from the Yale School of Public Health, and DTM&H from the National School of Tropical Medicine. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery/Association, leads the American Academy of Dermatology's Health Policy Research Group, and has been a Visiting Professor at the Oregon Health & Science University. He serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology and Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and has authored over 50 PubMed-indexed scientific articles.
