James E. Harvey, MD, MSc, FACC, FSCAI is an interventional cardiologist and the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of the Heart and Vascular Service Line for the WellSpan Health System. Dr. Harvey completed his undergraduate and Master’s degrees at Vanderbilt University and then earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Emory University Health System in Atlanta, GA followed by fellowship training in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. During this time, Dr. Harvey was selected to serve as the Chief Interventional Cardiology fellow.
Dr. Harvey is board-certified in Internal Medicine as well as Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Harvey has a special interest in structural and valvular heart disease, complex coronary artery disease, and mechanical circulatory support. He has served as the York Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Director and the Director of the Structural Heart Program for WellSpan Health. He is well-published in the field of interventional cardiology and he frequently proctors physicians at other health systems in current state-of-the art therapies for structural heart disease. Dr. Harvey serves as a member of the Executive Council for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Harvey currently resides in Red Lion, PA with his wife Jackie and two beautiful daughters.
