Dr. Elizabeth Genovese is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Genovese graduated from the University of Notre Dame, attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she served at Chief Resident. Dr. Genovese specializes in advanced open and complex endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, particularly chronic limb threatening ischemia. She currently serves as the Director of the Limb Preservation Center and the Medical Co-Director of the Wound Care Center at MUSC. She serves on multiple local, regional and national societal committees. Her research focuses on healthcare disparities in peripheral arterial disease detection, treatment and outcomes, along with integration of new technology to streamline treatment algorithms and improve outcomes with complex endovascular therapies for peripheral arterial disease.
